The inaugural Moon Festival lit up Royal Greenwich in July 2019 with an 8-night programme of moon-themed events in public squares and museums, libraries and universities, Jacobean manor houses and secret gardens.

Underpinned by social research and community engagement, our sold-out programme offered our 3,500 visitors a kaleidoscopic range of events including a keynote speech by Margaret Atwood, a midnight run with Inua Ellams, a comedy set by Helen Lederer, a late night cabaret hosted by London Night Czar Amy Lamé, a street party inspired by stories about the moon, to name a few.

Time Out London

“London is a captivating place to be. I’m pleased that the moon festival team are raising the profile of our city at night and encouraging Londoners to get outside, meet one another and take time to appreciate the natural beauty of the moon.”
