Cosmological and transcendental sounds beneath the hull of the Cutty Sark complemented by moon gazing with a Royal Astronomer above it.
FRIDAY 26TH JULY | Cutty Sark | 8pm – 11.30am
EARLY BIRD TICKETS: £17
Our closing party is a musical and visual celebration of the moon, where sound and projections come together in the stunning space beneath the hull of one of the world’s most famous ships, the Cutty Sark.
As well as being transported by this audio-visual gig experience, you’ll also get the opportunity to join a Royal Observatory Astronomer on the Top Deck for a mini-lecture about the moon’s power.
The shining hull of the ship will be brought to life by Adrena Adrena, a collaboration between visual artist Daisy Dickinson and drummer E-Da Kazuhisa (Boredoms, Seefeel). The duo blend drums, electronic sound and organic visual work and feature in their performances an eight-foot white lunar sphere which hangs above Kazuhisa’s drum kit and which Dickinson projects lunar images onto.
Adrena Adrena have performed at The International Festival of Projections, The Institute of Contemporary Arts London, CERN – The European Organisation for Nuclear Research, End of The Road Festival, Supernormal Festival, Zorofest in Leipzig and many other shows and festivals across the UK, Europe and Japan.
